About Jacob's Room
We are small family owned and operated business located in the beautiful community of Wayne, Nebraska. Our company is named after our son, nephew, grandson and friend - Jacob Carl Woerdemann - who died after a much too short life. Our little Jacob was never able to ride in a stroller or play with his favorite toy but knowing that there are children out there in the world who are happy because of Jacob’s Room has been a great source of comfort to us. It truly brings us joy everyday knowing that Jacob is smiling down on us with every child we make happy.
Our store is more than just a store….it is where we truly try to make dreams come true for children. It is hard to believe in this day but we aren’t in this to make money – we truly just want to honor Jacob’s memory by changing the hearts of those in this world.
We also want to help you find any item that your child is looking for – even if we don’t carry it or can’t get it for you. We will do our best to search the internet for the item that you are looking for. We always liked the concept of “Miracle on 34th Street” and how if the store couldn’t find it – they would find someone who did. It isn’t about making money – it is about making the children happy. Nothing brightens spirits more than a smiling child!
In addition to our online business we also have a retail store located at 202 Main Street in Wayne, NE. If you are fortunate enough to live within the city limits of Wayne, you can opt to have us deliver them to you if you don't want to pay shipping costs. You also have the option to pick up the items at our store.
Our online business has most of the products shipped directly from the manufacturer but we do also ship from our retail store. Some of our biggest direct shipping manufacturers are Melissa & Doug, KidKraft and Radio Flyer. We choose to do business with these companies because they have the same mission that we do – bringing quality products to you and your children.

Please look at the availability of the item that is located right above the add to cart button when placing your order. Some items ship anywhere from next business day to 4-5 business days depending upon the item (smaller items may be shipped via USPS Priority mail). Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are not considered business days.
All of these timeframes are estimates - not guarantees - and can fluctuate slightly depending upon manufacturer deliveries, holidays and busy shipping seasons.
If this if for an important occasion such as a birthday - please indicate the date needed in the comments section during checkout.
If you choose expedited shipping please understand that the day you place your order is not included as part of the expedited shipping. It will start the next business day. For instance if you choose 2 day shipping and you place your order on a Monday - the order won't ship until Tuesday and it won't arrive until Thursday. We do apologize for this but since the majority of our items ship directly from our manufacturer - we can't speed up the shipping anymore than this.
The cost for shipping to the 48 contiguous states (does not include Alaska & Hawaii) is based upon the total amount of your order. We offer free shipping for orders over $50!! Please use the table below for a quick reference on estimating your shipping charges.

Orders will be processed and placed upon order submission. We do indicate backorder status on the product page. If you don't want a backorder processed please indicate this in the comments section during checkout. We are so terribly sorry for this inconvenience.
Only items shipped to customers within Nebraska will be charged sales tax. If you select to Pick up at Store or Local delivery – please put in 68787 as your shipping zip code so that the sales tax can be calculated correctly.
We accept Paypal, Discover, Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.
Returns & Exchanges
We expect our customers to be 100% satisfied with the products we sell and the service we provide. If at any time in the next 30 days you are NOT 100% satisfied, you may send your purchase back for a refund or store credit for the price paid for the merchandise (minus what you paid for shipping).
If you would like to return any item, you may return it within 30 days of placing your order, given that it is in new condition and is in its original packaging. You must receive an RMA# from us before returning the item. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an RMA#. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable
Important Notes About Returns & Exchanges
We regret we cannot refund delivery charges for returns or exchanges. The customer is responsible for any additional shipping charges associated with an exchange. If merchandise is returned in "as-new" condition within 30 days of purchase, a credit (minus what you paid for shipping) will be issued to the original credit card used for purchasing the item(s) or you can choose to receive a store credit. If merchandise is opened and/or unable to be resold, a store credit will be issued.
Customers will be responsible for return shipment. If you received free shipping – you will be charged $14.99 for the original shipping charges. Orders cancelled prior to shipment will receive full credit.
Any order that is returned after 30 days will only receive a partial refund.
